Jean vase

One of a kind vase hand built from clay slabs. Sculpted elements added and then the piece is Bisque fired, coated with black underglaze, washed so the underglaze brings out the details. The piece is then coated with clear glaze on the interior and fired to cone 6. After the glaze firing the piece is painted with watercolors and sprayed with a paint fixative. Not dishwasher safe but fully functional as a vase.

Jean has their head in the clouds and their heart in a book. Jean spends most their time reading and when they don’t have their nose in a book Jean appreciates a good cup of coffee, a flakey pastry and a sunny day.
