Chris Vase

One of a kind vase hand built from clay slabs. Sculpted elements added and then the piece is Bisque fired, coated with black underglaze, washed so the underglaze brings out the details. The piece is then coated with clear glaze on the interior and fired to cone 6. After the glaze firing the piece is painted with watercolors and sprayed with a paint fixative. Not dishwasher safe but fully functional as a vase.

Chris is the ultimate maker. They strive to be useful and are a jack of all trades. Chris is often running to and fro and usually is more than happy to tell you about their latest creation. Chris comes bearing gifts for the dinner party… a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread and a container for flowers (or the baguette) or you can load up their arms with whatever you’d like.
